I did not like the staff lying to me about the HVAC system being old and that they had to control the thermostat from their computer inside a control room . Now does that make sense? Yes you heard it right . There was a heavyset female that told me I would have to call down to the lobby anytime I needed them to turn my air up or down because their computerized hvac system was old . It looked modern to me, in fact it seemed to be a really high tech system . However, I did get the name of a gentleman (Blake) and he actually told me the system wasn’t old and they put the system on standby from their computer when the room isn’t in use and that he would give me access to control my own air. Well the problem with that was, the system seemed to be on a timer because I woke up to a 66 degree room when I set the room temp to 75 degrees before I went to bed. This must be their default setting because that was the same temp when my family and I checked into the room . The room was freezing and my children woke up with coughs the next morning . I’ve stayed on this property several times and never had this issue . For the heavyset girl to tell me the system was broken and that she would call the HVAC guy before leaving her shift and never doing it was beyond egregious. It sounds like this was something that management designed for the hotel to save money, which the employees used to abuse the guest that were staying there and not allowing them to control their own air. Absolutely poor!
